| Meredith Smith
President and Founder
Armed with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting for the University of Oregon, a passion for problem solving and a love of numbers, Meredith founded SOS NW in the late 1970s. She’s been helping business grow and run more smoothly ever since.
One of the earliest masters of Intuit’s QuickBooks, Meredith has worked with the software for nearly 15 years and has been a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, giving professional Portland QuickBooks training, for almost 10 years. She is an excellent teacher, communicator and role model for her team and her clients. Meredith and her team are detail oriented, reliable, and extremely organized and will be a valuable asset to your business. When she’s not making QuickBooks sing for her clients, Meredith enjoys riding horses, swimming and dabbling in real estate investments. After that, you’ll usually find her learning about any number of new subjects and spending quality time with her four cats.

Amanda has an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Portland Community College, and contiuning her education to receive a Bachelor's degree as well. Amanda has found a calling with the accounting field after exploring both mechanical engineering and retail management. Amanda shows a motivation to personally improve through a dedication to her education and family, while also gaining excellent experience working in the field as a bookkeeper. Amanda is a native of the Portland area with a love of travel. She has traveled throughout the Western half of the United States, as well as taking time to visit Canada and several European countries.

QuickBooks Bookkeeper
Amy has a BA in Accounting from Washington State University, and over 15 years of industry experience, from retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and construction. She is interested in pursuing her MBA in the near future and also becoming an Enrolled Agent. Amy was born and raised in Vancouver, WA, but has spent the last 11 years in Oregon.
Amy is committed to giving back to the community by volunteering with NAMI (National Alliance of the Mentally Ill) Clackamas County by teaching “NAMI Basics”. NAMI Basics is the new signature education program for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. The NAMI Basics course is taught by trained teachers who are the parent or other caregivers of individuals who developed the symptoms of mental illness prior to the age of 13 years. She is also the Co-Chair of Clackamas MHO Children’s System Advisory Council. Besides her volunteer work she enjoys gardening, taking her dog Lilybean for walks, and spending time with her family.
